Born the same year in very different circumstances, Mary Lincoln and Elizabeth Keckley, an African American seamstress, developed a special relationship during the White House years. This evening tour explores their relationship and compares Mrs. Keckley’s life experiences to those of enslaved members of the Todd household. Program lasts approximately 75 minutes.
